WHY I CHANGED MY MIN.D.....AGAIN! - PART 2

Andy Kessler - 01-Sep-2020
Ok, today you get two for one.... I have to hurry up because we have our WI.DE. complete bike landing in our warehouses in the next days. Last week I gave you some insight about why I changed my MIN.D...

This week I combine the beauty shots and the specifications in this blog and I keep it as short as possible.

We do now have stock of all MIN.D. sizes in all our warehouses around the world and we also just got the Ready To Paint MIN.D. in - so time to get creative.

Hi Mitchel, you can easily get it below 7kg with some modifications. Those are aero wheels with inner tubes and weight is as shown on picture. Same bike with SRAM Red, ERC 1400 wheels tubeless ist 6.8kg...So yes you can build it light also

Hi Andy,

how come, it can be lighter with ERC1400, when those are 100g heavier compared to the PRC1100 listed above?
I wonder, if you can find that 1.000+ gramm trading the tubes with tubeless sealing and lighter tires as long as you stick to 30mm width.

The custom color looks like Mercedes-Benz "carbonschwarz", which also turns blueish in sunlight.

Best regards
Tom

Hi Tom, I made a mistake those DT I mention should be the CRC. The weight seems strange I know but dont forget its a prototype... as said I have the production MIN.D with the Force Gruppo, the CRC wheels/tubeless setup and Easton cockpit and its almost 1kg lighter... The color code I actually dont know

Thanks for the update on this.

Then it should be the prototype, being a tad heavier.

Just put my RTP UPPER size L with Ultegra Di2, Syntace W21i wheelset with some heavy Panaracer GK SK 38mm and some liter carbon parts on the scales ... it was 7.2kg without pedals. So with some liter tires it could crack the sub 7kgs without dangerous lightweight parts on the bike.

Looking forward seeing a M.IND in the flesh!

Best regards
Tom

My MIND weighs about 6.8 kg before I put the pedals on.
I'm running DA with Roval CLX wheels with RapidAir 28mm tires (tybeless).
The bike rides/feels much lighter however.:-)

Ah, ok. Seems like a really dark blue in the sunshine. Like it. Does this black has any name or reference?

Da ist wohl was bei meiner Frage schief gelaufen. Sollte natürlich heißen, dass ich 191 cm groß bin und 95 kg wiege.
Gruß,
Gerald

Hallo Gerald, das its überhaupt kein Problem. Du würdest super auf das XL passen und Systemgewicht ist bei 110kg. Lieber Gruss Andy

Hi Open Cycle,
Will there be a "complete" bike set up for sale as well?
Would an integrated aero bar & stem look good or kill the vibe, and if so which one?
Thanks. Max

Hi Max, right now we have nothing in the pipeline. But we are working in something but dont expect it before next year...For me personally I am not a big fan of aero on gravel but I know somebody that is.... guess who.. thats the nice thing nothing is right and nothing is wrong in this category... it should be called freeride...
